Counting the blessings(數算恩典)

昨天畢業典禮結束,這促使我回想過去半年多(從論文繳交、通過口試,到正式畢業)收到的許多「禮物」,點點滴滴,有形無形,都出自上帝測不透的恩典。
*****************
My graduation ceremony ended yesterday. Looking back, I have received quite a number of gifts for my submission (30 Oct 2010), viva passing (1 Mar 2011), and convocation (1 Jul 2011). Here is a list of them.

Cuff buttons (courtesy of Dandan, Nov 2010)

MacBook Pro (courtesy of wifey, Dec 2010)

Farewell party (THECE, at the Peng's, 2 Mar 2011)

A Scottish Christian Heritage (Dandan and Trevor, Mar 2011)

Graduation gown (Mom, 20 May 2011)

Michael Horton The Christian Faith (Dr Edwin Tay, 26 Jun 2011)

The chance to give a brief talk on Barth (FEBC, 1 Jul 2011)

In addition, I have been given also the opportunity to recount, in several occasions, how I experienced the sovereign God's loving grace in the past four years of being a doctoral student.

Family service (the Wu's, 28 May 2011)

Gospel broadcasting (FEBC, Apr to Jun 2011)

Finally, to top it all, there will be ...

A trip to GUAM! (wifey, 3-8 Jul 2011)

It is true that 'from everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked' (Lk. 12:48, NIV). What the long list of gifts means is simple: that much will be demanded and asked from me.

Have a good trip! My friend. We spent our honey moon there in 2001. Have fun!

Thank you. We expect a good rest (and fun!) in this trip so as to move on to the next stage in our life.
